Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ford Expedition- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Expedition we're doing the test fit of the Let's Go Aero Gear Case Cargo Carrier, part number HCR222. I already have it on our vehicle. I'm just going to show you a few features of it. Now, the first feature, it can hold up to 350 lbs and it has a nice little black powder coat so it's going to help from rust and corrosion. Let's go ahead and take a couple of measurements. First one will be overall distance, and we're looking at 43" there. For our ground clearance up into here that's 18", and for our closest-to-the-bumper will be right here and that's going to be 8" here. Now, the exhaust on the Ford Expedition is on our passenger side and it is pointed outward, so just keep that in mind. more

Today on our 2016 Ford Expedition, we're going to do a test-fit of the 24 by 60 Curt Cargo Carrier, part number C18153. We already have it on our vehicle, I'm just going to show you a few features. The first feature I'd like to show is the mesh bottom. That's pretty much going to keep out your dirt and debris. It also has a nice black powder coat, it's going to help from rust and corrosion, and can hold up to 500-lbs. Let's go ahead and make a measurement. First measurement will be overall distance, I'm looking at 42-1/2", and for our ground clearance, I'm looking at 21" here, then the closest point to our cargo carrier, we're looking at 17" there. On the Ford Expedition, the exhaust is on your passenger side and it is pretty much pointing straight out, so just keep that in mind if you have any heat sensitive materials. more

Lets go over a few measurements here. You will have about 17 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the vehicle is about 6 inches and overall weve added about 29 inches to the length of the Expedition. When opening our rear hatch it breaks over the carrier at about 14 inches. With our cargo carrier secure were ready to load up our gear and hit the trail. As you can see we have about 18 inches of ground clearance here at the rear of the rack. The closest point of the rack to the back of the Expedition is about 3 3/4 of an inch and overall we've added about 23 1/2 inches to the length of the Expedition. When opening our rear hatch, it breaks over our carrier at about the 13 inch mark. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Expedition well be test fitting the 24 by 60 cargo carrier for two inch hitches from Surco, part number 52018. Now to being our test fit well slide our cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. Well then put the safety clip on the other side of the pin which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 17 inches. From the closest point of the cargo carriers platform to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches. more
